How is this game different from other party games?
While the format (rotating judge party game) is similar to other games in the market, “I Would Kill Hitler” was designed from day one to be antithetical to the “turn a card in” experience.
- Instead of turning cards in for someone else to read, you’re the one who controls your fate each round with your story.
- We have recommended game modes catered to different types of players (casual, competitive, or storytellers)
Brass tax: You know how in other party games, if you play it enough you get used to the cards or have to buy expansions to keep it fresh? Well, the combinations of the hypotheticals, plot cards, and your own spin on the story, means you can have INFINIETLY different rounds even with the same cards – IT IS DESIGNED TO REDUCE GAME STALENESS.

Do I need to be an improvisor to enjoy this game?
No. Big no. MEGA no.
The key to having a good time with this game is being honest with yourself and how YOU would approach the hypothetical. We all play out scenarios in our head when we’re in the shower, or classroom, or work – this game is just harnessing that human tendency.
When people KNOW how THEY would approach the hypothetical and work backwards from there to include the Plot card in their hand, the game because easy and tons of fun.

Can I buy extra copies?
Yes! When you’re in the Add-on’s section of Kickstarter, you can increase the quantity of the game. Additional copies will also be available in the BackerKit pledge manager at the end of the campaign.

How big are the cards? What cardstock?
These are standard poker sized playing cards, 2.5’‘x3.5’’
We’re looking at 300 GSM and blackcore and greycore. The cardstock likely won’t be finalized until after the campaign, but high-quality cards are our priority. We’re manufacturing through LongPack games who have a great reputation in the board game space.

How big is the box?
The dimensions are still being tested, but current plans are for ~6.5’‘x4’‘x2.7’’.

When will shipping be charged?
After the campaign ends, you will get an email from BackerKit, where you’ll be asked for your address. At that time, you will complete the survey, and shipping will be charged based on your country of origin.

How can I be sure this will be a good quality game?
In terms of play, we’ve tested 3 iterations of the game with dozens of play-testers in over 100 hours of testing in the last 6 months. Each iteration the feedback and enthusiasm for the game was progressively and CONSISTANTLY positive – to the point where it blew us away.
In terms of material quality, we’re working with the biggest vendors in card game manufacturing (LongPack Games) and fulfillment (BackerKit and Fulfillrite), all of whom have years of experience with the biggest games in Kickstarter.

When will I get my game?
Unlike an online store, products on Kickstarter haven’t come out yet. In the case of “I Would Kill Hitler”, we’ve already designed and tested it, but there’s still a lot of work to do. Once the campaign ends, we will spend one month fine-tuning cards, adding the “Founder’s Set Additions”, a few weeks doing quality control, and then all of the games will go into production.
There are thousands and thousands of cards that have to be created, and put into boxes, and they all go on a freight container from Asia. From there, they go through customs and into a fulfillment center. At any point along the way, there could be delays, due to COVID or logistical hiccups. Once it all arrives at the fulfillment center, then each game is unpacked, and labeled for your home.
That being said, even with a conservative timeline, you should get your game in the August/September timeframe unless your reward tier says otherwise.

How many players do you recommend when playing?
The SWEET spot for this game is 4-6 players, but you can technically play with a 3-10 people range. (using the game modes to accommodate larger groups)

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
